Flemo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Flemo mobile app, which helps you turn a song and moment into a shareable mood story card. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — email address and password (stored in encrypted form) when you register.
- Story inputs — song title, artist name, what you're feeling or doing, optional lyric line, language preference, and general region setting used for story generation.
- Generated content — mood labels, story text, and related metadata created from your inputs.
- Device context — local listening time and timezone you send when creating a story, so the card reflects when you listened.
- Usage data — basic counters (such as how many stories you create per day) to operate the service.
How we use your information
- Create and authenticate your account.
- Generate and store your mood story cards.
- Show your story history in the app.
- Improve reliability and fix issues.
- Respond to support or legal requests when necessary.
AI processing
To generate your mood story, we send your story inputs (song, artist, context, optional lyric, language, and time context) to Google's Gemini API. Google processes this data on our behalf to produce the story content. We do not use your inputs to train our own models.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers — cloud hosting, database, and AI providers needed to run Flemo.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
When you share a story card to Instagram or another app, that share happens through your device and is governed by that platform's policies.
Data retention
We keep your account data and stories while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and mood stories from our systems, subject to limited backup retention that is automatically purged on a regular schedule.
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the Flemo app. You will be asked to confirm with your password. Deletion removes your account, stories, and associated data from our active systems.
If you cannot access the app, contact us at contact@flemo.app and we will process your request.
Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted passwords and HTTPS for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Flemo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us data.
International users
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. By using Flemo, you consent to this processing subject to applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
